Lima es una fuente inagotable de tradiciones, algunas de las cuales sólo existen en el recuerdo de nuestros padres y abuelos, así como de lugares que el tiempo y la modernidad se encargaron de borrar. Felizmente en el distrito de Surco tenemos el Parque de la Amistad, un lugar que rescata y recrea muchos de estos lugares de la Lima de antaño, para el goce de las nuevas generaciones.

En él podemos apreciar, a bordo de un tren tirado por una añeja locomotora a vapor, aquellos lugares que fueron comunes hace más de 100 años, como el arco morisco, la casa hacienda, el pueblito surcano, el parque de la exposición y una vieja estación del titánico Ferrocarril Central, en un recorrido que pasa por túneles y puentes que rememoran el viaje a los Andes peruanos en el ferrocarril que fue por más de 100 años el más alto del mundo.
